UCCC offers classes for two different age groups of children: 3-4 year-olds (children turning 3 on or before September 10th of the year they will start UCCC classes) and 4-5 year-olds (children turning 4 on or before September 10th). Our September 10th age deadline corresponds to the deadline for kindergarten in the state of Montana. By adhering to the September 10th cut-off date, we know that children leaving our 4-5’s classes will be the right age to enter kindergarten in Montana.

In addition to the age requirement for enrolling in classes, children must be potty-trained and independent in taking care of their toileting/bathroom needs by the time school begins.

UCCC Preschool is structured as a two-year program. Children in the 3-4 year old class move on to the 4-5 year old class and children in the 4-5 year old class move on to kindergarten.

Currently enrolled students and their siblings receive priority in enrollment. Remaining spaces are filled through a lottery held in early March and after that, as space allows, from our waiting list or new enrollees. UCCC Preschool Board of Director Members also receive priority enrollment consideration. For information on open Board positions and application instructions, click HERE.
